THE TRUTH ABOUT

ELVIS

IS HE REALLY DEAD?

Elvis Presley

Did The King of Rock Die or Does he Still Roam The Earth, Fleeing The Spotlight?

SUMMARY

In conclusion, “The King of Rock and Roll” unfortunately did actually die in his bathroom on August 16th, 1977. The sad truth has burdened Presley’s many fans for 47 years since he passed.

Theory #1

Elvis Presley died in his bathroom on August 16th, 1977. The reason why varies between beliefs.

Elvis Presley was found moments after he passed, by his partner at the time Ginger Alden.

EVIDENCE #1

Quote: In her autobiography, she describes the scene: “His arms lay on the ground, close to his sides, his palms facing upwards. It was clear that, from the moment he landed on the floor, Elvis hadn’t moved.” She goes on to say: “I gently turned his face toward me. A hint of air expelled from his nose. The tip of his tongue was clenched between his teeth and his face was blotchy. I gently raised one eyelid. His eye was staring straight ahead and was blood red.” (Ginger Alden, Daily Record) This quote shows how the death of her husband at the time Elvis Presley truly and deeply impacted her. Not only did she lose her lover, she had to find him dead on the floor. This backs up the theory that Elvis Presley really did die because it explains Presley’s death from a different perspective.

ANALYSIS #1

Elvis Presley was born ill, his death had something to do with the conditions he’s had since birth.

EVIDENCE #2

“At the time, the public issue and controversy was centering on Elvis’ drug use, and whether he died of a heart attack or drug overdose. There was little interest in his underlying medical problems, pain, or why he died at the relatively young age of 42.” (Elvis Presley, Head Trauma, Autoimunity, Pain, and Early Death, page 1, par 1) This quote shows that a lot of people circulated around the possibility that Elvis Presley had died due to his records of excessive drug use, which in turn supports the point that while the exact reason Elvis died is up for discussion depending on who you talk to, the fact that he really did die maintains to be the truth.

ANALYSIS #2

Elvis died on his bathroom floor due to some other medical condition or occurrence, not an overdose.

EVIDENCE #3

“Presley died a short time ago from what hospital officials call respiratory distress. Doctors at Memphis now say that Presley died due to an erratic heartbeat or heart attack brought on by undetermined causes” .(The Death of Elvis Presley, time: 7:41, podcast) This final quote supports my first theory that Elvis really did die by explaining how he was swept off to the Memphis Hospital, but sadly the doctor’s attempts at revival failed and he did die from what they believe to be a heart attack or other heart and/or lung related problems. This shows different medical professionals perceived Presley’s death and how confused some of them were as to what the exact cause of his death really was.

ANALYSIS #3

Theory #2

Elvis Presley faked his death and escaped the pressures of fame, he’s still walking this Earth, fleeing from the stage.

Elvis Presley died from a heart related disease and/or heart attack, not an overdose…

EVIDENCE #1

”Uh, Elvis Presley died here about 3:30 this afternoon, he had been found in his bathroom. Unconscious, not breathing, and was brought to the hospital by ambulance. Efforts to revive him in the ambulance and efforts to revive him here at the hospital were unsuccessful and Elvis was declared dead at 3:30. He had probably died early in the day, sometime between 9:00 and 2:30. Doctors say” .(Mason Granger, time 0:10, YouTube video) This quote provides a direct statement based around Elvis’ death, but also promotes skepticism towards how believable the reporter really is by the tone present in his voice as he goes in depth providing specific and possibly inaccurate times stamps of when and how his death occurred. Simultaneously leaving out what the doctor’s revival attempts really were or if they even attempted to revive Elvis in the first place.

ANALYSIS #1

Elvis faked his death and convinced Ginger Alden to go along with it.

EVIDENCE #2

“His theory is that Elvis didn’t die, that he faked his death to protect himself and his family from death threats stemming from his work as a government agent, that rumors about his drug use were spread to support the cover-up, and that he has been living under an assumed identity in a government protection program ever since.” (THE ELVIS CONSPIRACY, The Roanoke Times, line 5) This quote supports my second theory that Elvis Presley didn’t actually die by providing a line from a news company that promotes the idea which Elvis became fearful towards growing rumors about his drug use, and how he may have used a fake death story to easily escape from the rumors spreading about not only him and his bad habits, but also about his family. It would appear as if the government slowly started turning against Presley and became very weary of his presence after he left his place in the military.

ANALYSIS #2

People have reported seeing Presley on the streets after his death.

EVIDENCE #3

“Now, I know what you’re thinking; Elvis died 40 years ago, doing another conspiracy theory is a waste of time. Elvis is alive, it’s a fact. People have seen him” .(Conspiracies, Is Elvis Presley Still Alive? Time: 0:51, video) This quote presents the belief that Presley is still alive and his supposed attempts at escaping from the government’s constraints and avoiding society in general might not have been all that successful because people claim to have seen Presley roaming the streets on various occasions and different reports have been brought forth for the past 47 years since Presley’s death which only help support the idea that he’s still alive even more.

ANALYSIS #3

BELIEFS

-Personally, I believe that Elvis Presley really did die in his bathroom. I firmly believe this over any of the vast conspiracy theories because it’s the leading theory amongst the fandom following Presley’s fame. There is so much more evidence backing up the fact that he really did die in comparison to evidence that backs up the chance that he may still be alive, or died of unknown causes. There are many autopsy reports to go along with Presley’s death and while there is a large cluster of people who believe Presley didn’t really die, the origin of these theories is simply derived from the fan-base that Presley’s followers brought to life. There are many conspiracy theorists based reports of people claiming to have seen Elvis Presley out on the streets, though none of these reports provide concrete evidence like that of Presley’s death.

Based on the evidence I have gathered, the theory I believe most is theory #1 – Elvis Presley died in his bathroom on August 16th, 1799. The reason why varies between beliefs. I believe this theory over the second one not only because it’s backed up by a variety of facts and statistics, but also because the likelihood of any other theory is so low, it’s not likely to have occurred. It’s been proven that the over-curated theories on Presley’s death are less actually believed and more so a fanbase for discussion and people to share unbelievable and factually inaccurate ideas about the man.
